What does EPT stand for? EPT is the abbreviation for Electronic Pallet Truck, also known as an Electric Pallet Jack. For employees in logistics who work with transport equipment, having an EPT certificate is often a requirement. The law sets requirements for operating and handling transport equipment to ensure safety within companies. The first certificate that employees usually need to obtain is EPT.
What is an EPT?
An EPT, or Electric Pallet Truck, is used to move pallets or other loads horizontally. These trucks lift loads up to a maximum of 30 cm above the ground, making them ideal for moving large materials that cannot be moved manually.
EPT Certificate in different languages
Because we notice a high demand for training courses in the logistics sector for labor migrants, we offer our courses in different languages. Our training courses can be followed in Dutch, English, and Polish as standard. Often, you also have the option of choosing other languages for the theoretical part. This way, we ensure that the trainee can understand the text, and we can provide the correct assessment.
Possible locations for the EPT Course
The possible locations where we provide EPT courses are our own locations in Waalwijk and Eindhoven. We also offer in-company training at your location. We have an extensive fleet of trucks, including six EPT trucks, and our location in Waalwijk is even the largest training location in the Netherlands. Our experienced instructors are skilled in training with both our own trucks and your transport equipment.
How long is the certificate valid?
When you obtain an EPT certificate from Hollcert, it is a legally recognized certificate valid for five years. Since the course day is divided into a theoretical and practical part, the certificate can be obtained in one day.

Obtaining the EPT certificate is often the first step in your logistics career. After gaining experience with the EPT, you can easily advance to other courses, such as those for the forklift or reach truck.
